'Orange' Wines

'Orange' wines, also known as skin-contact white wine, skin-fermented white wine, or amber wine, is a type of wine made from white wine grapes where the grape skins are not removed, as in typical white wine production, and stay in contact with the juice for days or even months. This lends anywhere from an orange tint to a pronounced orange color to the wine.

Gonzales Bastias Naranjo 2019

Bold aromas and flavors of peach and tangerine with slight floral, orange peel and mineral notes.  Juicy acidity, medium bodied and a long finish.  A less intense "Orange" style.

Stolpman Vineyards Love You Bunches

From Santa Barbara County, a blend of orange muscat, pinot gris and mourvedre.  No added sulfites. Popping tangerine peel flavors jump out of the glass. The color is so gorgeous it almost doesn't matter what it tastes like!

Maloof Where Ya PJs At 2020

A very natural wine from Willamette Valley. Technically an orange wine but you'll see it say 'rose-ish' on the back because it's fun like a rose, but came from Pinot Gris and Riesling. Great with Asian food.

Ovum Winery Old Love

A dry, white blend of Riesling, Gewurtztraminer & Muscat Blanc that dreams of capturing the summer sun in a bottle of wine. Aromas of fresh cut blood orange, salty lemon and aloe vera typify this racy, texturally rich orange wine.

Enderle & Moll - Weiss and Grau

An amber-tinged white of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris with a lightly tannic grip from around one week on the skins. There's a charming bouquet of orange blossoms, apricots and lanolin. The palate is textured with notes of yellow apple peels, dried nectarines, and marzipan. Everything is done naturally, with native ferments, no filtering or fining and nothing is added save a tiny dose of sulfites at bottling.

Livver Malvasia 2019

The nose shows orange peel, lemon balm, and sage with some bright aromas. The wine has a slight orange color showing the 60 days of skin contact and has a rich texture with good acidity and hints of kumquat. Delicious.
